Dennis is joined via Zoom by Tazmanian-born dancer and choreographer Locky Brownlie to discuss the sexy new show he’s choreographing, emceeing and dancing in, Bro-lesque, which debuts Friday, November 18th at Strip nightclub in Costa Mesa, CA and which he describes as Cabaret meets “Magic Mike for the gays.” He also talks about discovering dance as a child and sticking with it even though he was often picked on for it. He also shares stories about touring with some of the biggest pop stars in the world, including Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry—twice! He also talks about getting hired to dance with his idol Britney Spears in her Vegas show Domination, only to have the entire residency get cancelled. Other topics include: how Tik Tok and Instagram have changed the game for dancers, why he loves teaching dance, wearing gold booty shorts for RuPaul, getting teary-eyed during “Firework” when the Katy Perry tour playing Australia for the first time, the moment during “Trouble” when he thought Taylor Swift might have knocked her own teeth out with her mic and the moment in the J Lo show where he got to “gay it out a little bit.”
