Show Notes
Dennis sits down with New York-based filmmaker Joey Kuhn on a recent visit to LA to talk about Kuhn's film "Those People," which hit DVD and VOD on June 14, 2016. Joey talks about the inspiration for his film, the stress of raising the money, the high and low points of making the film, getting to shoot on the Highline, at Lincoln Center and at his own synagogue and why he wanted there to be no cell phones or computers in his movie. He also opens up about his desire to direct movie musicals, his parents' reaction to the film and the past flame who inspired the Sebastian character in "Those People." Other topics include: his devotion to Mariah Carey and the "Glitter"-themed party he once threw, how Lena Dunham inspired him, the American Idol finale, and the Oscar-winning actor who made him so star struck that he had to lay down on the floor. http://www.thosepeoplefilm.com/
