Show Notes
Dennis visits the production office of the ABC Family hit "The Fosters" on the Warner Bros. lot to talk to one of the creators of the show, Peter Paige. Peter talks about the inspiration for the show, how he met his producing partner Brad Bredeweg, how they got J Lo on board as Executive Producer, the gay prom episode he's so proud of and the outcry that erupted over the kiss between two 13 year-old gay characters on the show. Peter also shares memories from his time playing Emmett Honeycutt on Showtime's "Queer as Folk," which is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. He recalls being mobbed by fans at a cast DVD signing after Season 1, the lessions he learned from playing an unapologetically effiminate character and the dude he met in a steam room who hit on him shamelessly then, after discovering he was on the show, proceeded to totally trash it in front of him. Other topics include: the time Peter got startruck by Meryl Streep, nighmare auditions, his childhood obsession with a certain Cassidy and what's gotten him through the ups and downs of Hollywood.
